Welcome to Purple Heart Homes, Inc.

We are a non-profit organization founded by two NC National Guard Soldiers; SSG Dale Beatty and John Gallina. Both were injured in the same explosion that eventually required the amputation of both of SSG Beatty’s’ legs. After returning home and building a house Dale realized a need for all veterans who have mobility limiting service connection injuries. This need has been recognized by some organizations which have assisted veterans and their families in acquiring housing that is suitable to their needs. This is achieved through construction, remodeling, or renovation.

Dale realized after the completion of his home and after studying the trends of wounded veterans that there was no greater asset than the community to which the Veteran and his or her family would be returning to. That is what Purple Heart Homes intends to do. Give aid to the Veterans who are deserving of having some assistance transitioning to a new home, or an accessible home with a better quality of life, no matter what injuries they have sustained.  We will do this with the support of the community, which can foster new relationships, and help our Veterans and their families feel welcome.

"Purple Heart Homes, Inc. Is dedicated to providing housing for disabled veterans that is substantial in function, design, and quality... fit to welcome home the fighting men and women of America."
